Fees: Hypnotherapy sessions are £45 per session lasting for 1 hour, payable by bank transfer before the session. Please refer to my contact page in regards to contacting me to discuss your specific needs and to make an appointment.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. Hypnotherapy uses hypnotic techniques to aid in bringing about therapeutic changes in you. Hypnotherapy involves a sense of deep relaxation with your attention narrowed and focused on appropriate suggestions made by me as the hypnotherapist, these suggestions are what you want and encourage you to make positive changes within yourself. In this state, your conscious mind is suppressed and your subconscious mind is revealed and more responsive to the suggestions made and as a result can be helpful in changing habits. Hypnotherapy is relaxing and a fantastic way to create a peaceful mind, it empowers you to make positive changes in your behaviour, but it cannot force you to make any changes against your will.

 Hypnotherapy is a two way process between me as the hypnotherapist assisting in activating your inner resources in order to achieve realistic goals and you as the client, which requires you to be committed to change and being prepared to make the effort to make that change a reality.

Important things to REMEMBER:

  • For hypnotherapy to work you as the client need to believe, want and allow it to happen.
  • You cannot be hypnotised unless you agree and cooperate.
  • While having hypnotherapy nobody can make you do anything you don’t want to do.
  • If you feel uncomfortable and want to finish the session, then you will be perfectly capable of doing so.
  • You are completely in control of your mind and body throughout the whole process. 
  • You remain fully aware of your surroundings and situation.

Making the decision to come for hypnotherapy and address the difficulties you are facing is an important first step and takes a lot of courage and should be commended. In taking this first step it is perfectly normal to feel anxious about this, and knowing what to expect from your hypnotherapy session may help you feel more prepared and less nervous about your first appointment.

What to expect from hypnotherapy:

Whether you contact me by phone, email or facebook the first thing we’ll do is have a FREE telephone consultation, where we will discuss your specific needs and arrange your first appointment. Within your first session we’ll go through a contract, confidentiality and I will also be gathering information in order to gain more of an understanding of your hypnotherapy needs. This allows me to then write a script tailored for your individual needs ready for your next session. Your first session is also an opportunity to see what it feels like to work together and at the end of your session you can decide whether to commit to more sessions, leave it there or you may go away and think about it for a few days. Only then if you decide to go ahead with your hypnotherapy, your next session will be hypnosis where I will use the script tailored to you to guide you into a state where your body and mind are relaxed.
